AIPC PANDORA: REVENGE OF THE TEAM 73

Once a year, students from 3rd ESO to 2nd Bach can form groups of a maximum of eight people to participate in a social entrepreneurship activity called «AIPC Pandora & Ford Impulsando Sueños», consisting of preparing a social development project to exhibit in less than 2 minutes.

A jury then chooses ten of the exhibited projects to move on to the next round.

However, in this humble article we will not focus on what happens with the chosen projects, but on the first day, February 9, when all the groups from all the high schools involved (in total we were 73 groups) got together in «La Nave», a work space in the Community of Madrid, to develop the projects.

We were precisely team 73, made up of some of the most competent 4th A students. So we met at 8:25 at the «Valdeacederas» metro station, then we went a long way together, we got to "La Nave", they gave us a talk and finally we started working at a time we were already tired.

First we had a "brainstorming" to find out what we were going to talk about, then we designed a kind of poster with people we considered «change agents» and the rest of the day consisted of developing more our project through conversations and schemes.

But, did we win? In fact, yes (at least the first round), thanks to a brilliant project about young immigrants in Spain and how to help them through art and culture (our project was called «IdentificaII» and those who would work in our organization were called «Identificadores»).

Now, what I remember most from that day is: the amount of garbage that ended up accumulating in the work space, a huge headache, very strange people (some of which I’d rather forget) and very funny moments. It was an amazing experience that we already did last year.

Nonetheless, last year we didn't make it past the first round, and this time we did (hence the title of this article)!

Without a doubt, I recommend it to all students who want to live a new experience... Or who want to meet new people !
