XXIst Olympiad of Biology of Comunidad de Madrid

The Official College of Biologists of the Community of Madrid announced the XXI Olympiad of Biology of the Community of Madrid (OBCM) to promote interest in biology and scientific innovations that occur in this discipline among students. 

There are different categories of participation: 2nd year of high school in which it is presented individually, and 4th year of ESO for which groups of a maximum of 3 people are presented.

 The test was held on Friday, February 17, 2023. 

It consists of a questionnaire of 30 multiple choice questions. The questions will be related to the basic contents of Biology of the curriculum of the entire ESO stage. The three best classified in the test will receive money and a series of prizes. 

I went to this wonderful experience with two of my friends and my biology and geology teacher. We had the opportunity to see the Autonomous University of Madrid and I admit, it was beautiful, schemes of insects and plants everywhere, huge classrooms and very cool facilities… 

Although it was quite hard to learn and review all the concepts we’ve learnt during these four years, and studying every single Friday break, in the end it was worth it. I invite everyone who is interested in biology to participate in the experience because it is unique.
